What is moving in the Red Sea, the Suez Canal, the Gulf and the Mediterranean, and what it means for your next stem.
Every item is dated and taken from the published source linked to it. It is general information, not advice. Confirm routing, security and insurance with your own advisers.
An indication tells you where the market is. A firm offer follows onboarding.
Tell us the port, the grade and the quantity. We reply by email with an indicative range at current market levels and a reference number. When you are ready to buy, register your company and we come back with a firm offer and full terms.
Indication by email
Choose a port, grade and quantity. Where a current reference range is available it appears here, and the full indication follows by email with your reference number.
An indication reflects published market levels at the time it is prepared. It is not an offer and is not binding on anyone. A firm price is issued only after onboarding, once physical cover at the port is confirmed for your date.
Three short tools. Each one can carry its answer straight into an enquiry.
Check which grade the voyage needs, what bunkering during the canal wait is worth to you, and whether your company is ready to be onboarded.
Guidance only, based on MARPOL Annex VI and the EU at berth rule. Confirm with the vessel's technical manager and flag requirements.
Bunkering at the Suez Canal waiting anchorage, while the vessel waits for its convoy, avoids a separate bunker call. Put in your own figures.
The starting values are examples only. Replace them with your vessel's figures.
ACO Bunkering Services is the marine fuels division of ACO Energies.
ACO Energies is a Cairo based energy house established in 2013. It originates and facilitates transactions between qualified counterparties across oil and gas, marine fuels and petrochemicals, and advises businesses and projects across energy, chemicals and critical minerals.
ACO Bunkering Services connects vessel owners, charterers and operators directly with a leading independent physical supplier, with no reseller chain in between.
Origination and structuring of crude, fuel oil and gas opportunities between qualified buyers and first tier principals.
Polymers and chemicals through the sister company ACO Petrochemicals, established in 2005.
Advice to businesses and projects in energy, chemicals and critical minerals across Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
ACO Energies is the introducer. The supply contract is between you and the physical supplier, on their paper.
ACO Energies arranges bunker supply for vessels wherever our supply partner holds physical cover. We deal with the owner, the charterer, the operator or the appointed technical manager, and with nobody in between.
An independent energy brokerage established in Cairo in 2013, active in marine fuels, crude oil, petrochemicals, polymers and industrial gases. Registered under Commercial Register 65684 and carrying a Legal Entity Identifier.
Your contract sits directly with the physical supplier. Product, quality, quantity and payment are between you and them, on their paper and their credit. Our fee is paid by the supplier and is never added to your price.
Most bunker quotes travel through two or three resellers before they reach the vessel. Every link takes a margin and dilutes accountability, and when a quality or quantity claim arises, the vessel is left arguing with a trader who never touched the fuel.
We remove the chain. One introduction, one physical supplier, one set of documents.
If a chain has already formed around an enquiry, we are the wrong call.
Scale matters here because bunker supply is a credit business as much as a fuel business.
An introduction is only worth what stands behind it. Ours is a physical supply network with its own cargo, its own delivery fleet and the balance sheet of a major energy group.
Cargo, storage and delivery sit inside one group and one balance sheet, not across a set of arm's length suppliers assembled port by port.
Bunker tankers and barges operated by the group's own ship management arm at the locations where deliveries are made.
A derivatives desk behind the supply, so bunker cost can be hedged and budgeted rather than absorbed as it comes.
These figures describe the physical supply network ACO Energies operates within, published by the supplier. They are not ACO Energies volumes, and we do not present them as such.

Physical means the supplier owns the barge that comes alongside your vessel.

ACO Energies conducts its marine bunkering activity under a broker mandate with a leading independent physical supplier of marine fuels, owned by one of the world's largest privately held energy and commodities groups. The supplier is named to counterparties once a mutual confidentiality agreement is in place.
The distinction that matters is physical. Our partner owns and operates the delivery infrastructure at the locations it serves, rather than reselling a cargo bought from somebody else.
A single stem against a confirmed arrival window. Priced at the time of the enquiry, with the delivery mode and the barge window confirmed in the offer rather than left open.
A supply arrangement across a trading pattern, with agreed pricing mechanics and lifting optionality between ports. Suited to fleets with a repeating route and a predictable annual volume.
Physical cover is a fact about a port on a date, not a claim in a brochure.
Availability is confirmed at nomination. We do not work from a standing port list.
Our mandate carries no territorial restriction, and supply can be arranged across a network of roughly one hundred and fifty ports. Physical operations and regional desks are established in the areas below. Availability at any named port is confirmed before a price is issued.
Egypt and the Suez Canal
Suez Canal corridor
Supply through our network is active on the Mediterranean side: Alexandria, Damietta, Port Said and the Port Said waiting anchorage. Suez, Suez Bay, Ain Sokhna and Safaga are in preparation. Select a point on the map for detail.
Schematic map, not to scale and not for navigation. Safaga lies further south on the Red Sea coast and is not shown. Availability at every location is confirmed at nomination.
Corridor status
We do not quote where our partner has no confirmed physical cover. If a port on your pattern falls outside the network we will say so rather than pass you into a reseller chain.

Send us the pattern, not the port.
Every additional link in a bunker chain is a margin taken and a place for accountability to go missing.
The conventional route
A margin at every plus sign, and accountability thinning with each handover.
Through ACO Energies
Introduction and coordination. One contract, one supplier, one price.
Nothing is marked up in transit. The offer you receive is the supplier's own number, and our fee sits outside it under a separate agreement with them.
If a quantity or quality question arises, there is one named supplier who delivered the fuel, not a paper trail of resellers pointing at each other.
You deal with the chairman of the firm, not a rotating desk. Decisions on an account do not wait for an internal approval chain.
Cairo based, working in Arabic and English with agents, terminals and the canal authority. On the Suez corridor that is the difference between a coordinated window and a missed one.
Term arrangements, multi port optionality and access to a derivatives desk, so bunkers can be managed as a budget line rather than a series of spot shocks.
Where there is no confirmed physical cover, or where a chain has already formed, we say so rather than pass the enquiry along.

A narrower yes is worth more to you than a wide maybe.
ISO 8217 governs the specification. MARPOL Annex VI governs the sulphur limit.
The Mediterranean has been a sulphur emission control area since 1 May 2025, with a 0.10% limit. Vessels taking fuel at Alexandria, Damietta or Port Said for a Mediterranean passage should plan for 0.10% fuel unless fitted with an approved exhaust gas cleaning system. The grade finder works through it.
All grades are supplied to ISO 8217 and in compliance with MARPOL Annex VI sulphur limits. Samples are drawn and retained at delivery in line with the applicable sampling procedure. Ultra low sulphur residual grades and alternative fuels are quoted where they are locally available, confirmed port by port rather than assumed.
By barge, by pipeline at berth, by truck for small parcels, and offshore or at anchorage where the location supports it. The delivery mode is confirmed with the offer, not after it. Quantities range from small parcels for offshore and coastal units to full fleet stems for deep sea tonnage.
Every grade we quote is a grade confirmed available at that port, on that date.
A commitment you cannot be held to is marketing. These can be held to.
These are undertakings, not aspirations. If we cannot meet one on a given enquiry, we say so at the time rather than after.
We will not quote a port where physical cover is unconfirmed, add a margin to a supplier's price, participate in a chain that has already formed, or take an enquiry from a party who does not control the vessel's bunker decision. Each of those would cost you money or accountability, usually both.
Undertakings we can be held to, or we do not make them.
Onboarding comes before any offer. It is opened once for your company, not for every stem.
The sequence below is fixed. It exists so that a price, once issued, is a price you can rely on.
Vessel name and IMO number, port, arrival and departure window, grades and approximate quantity, delivery mode, and the name of the party that will contract for the fuel.
A firm offer with full terms from the supplier, written confirmation of the stem, a scheduled barge or berth window, and the bunker delivery note with the sample record at completion.
A price, once issued, is a price you can hold us to.
Disclose the operator to us in writing before any approach is made.
ACO Energies contracts and communicates with the party that controls the bunker decision: the registered owner, the charterer, the commercial or technical operator, or an appointed manager acting on written authority.
We do not build back to back chains, we do not buy from or sell to other bunker traders, and we do not accept enquiries passed through several hands. It is the only way the pricing and the accountability described in this document hold up.
We welcome partners who hold relationships with vessel operators and want to bring those requirements to us. The terms are simple and apply to everyone.
Where a technical manager or an agent places the enquiry, we ask once at registration for the operator's written authority. It costs a single email and it protects every party if a claim later arises.
On a time charter the bunker decision usually sits with the charterer rather than the owner. We register the party that actually contracts for the fuel and record it on the file, rather than assume it.
Disclose first. Everything else follows from that.
Broker and introducer only. Never a producer, a physical supplier or a carrier.

Start onboarding ahead of your first stem. A vessel's arrival window does not wait for paperwork.
A firm offer is issued only to a contracting party that has cleared the supplier's counterparty due diligence. The pack below is the usual starting point. The supplier's compliance team confirms the final list for each counterparty and may ask for more.
The decision to register a counterparty rests with the supplier. ACO Energies prepares and presents the file and cannot approve a counterparty or waive a requirement.
Onboard once. After that, each stem moves straight to offer.
These terms cover the introduction. The fuel itself is sold on the supplier's own terms of sale.
These terms apply to every enquiry placed with ACO Energies for marine fuels and to every introduction that follows from it.
These General Terms are issued by ACO For Petroleum and Petrochemicals Services Co. Ltd., trading as ACO Energies, Commercial Register 65684, Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.
They apply to every use of this website, every enquiry for marine fuels submitted to ACO Energies and every introduction made as a result. An enquiry can only be sent from this website after the client has ticked the acceptance boxes. Ticking those boxes, or instructing ACO Energies in writing in any other form, is acceptance of these terms. No signature is required.
ACO Energies acts solely as broker and introducer. It does not buy, sell, supply, store, carry or take title to marine fuel.
ACO Energies is not an agent of the supplier or of the client and cannot bind either of them on price, terms, availability or delivery. It is not a party to any supply contract.
ACO Energies gives no assurance that a supplier will register a counterparty, issue an offer, or supply at any port or on any date.
Any supply of fuel is contracted directly between the contracting party and the physical supplier, on the supplier's general terms and conditions of sale in force at the time. The supplier issues those terms with its offer, and the client should read them before accepting.
Specification, quality, quantity, delivery, title, risk, payment, claims and the time limits for notifying claims are governed by the supplier's terms and not by these General Terms.
Where ACO Energies supports the client on a delivery, a document or a claim, it does so as assistance only and does not assume any obligation of the supplier.
No firm offer is issued until the contracting party has completed the supplier's counterparty due diligence and, where credit is requested, the supplier's credit review.
The client undertakes to provide documents that are complete, accurate, genuine and current, and to notify ACO Energies promptly of any change in its ownership, control, authorised signatories or sanctions status.
The supplier may decline to register a counterparty, and ACO Energies may decline an enquiry, in each case without giving reasons and without liability.
An enquiry is not an order and creates no obligation on the client, the supplier or ACO Energies.
The person submitting an enquiry confirms that the contracting party is the owner, charterer or operator of the vessel, or a manager or agent acting on that party's written authority, that it controls the bunker decision for the vessel, and that the person has authority to submit the enquiry.
The client is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the vessel, port, timing, grade, quantity and company information it provides.
Market prices, news, the regional brief, the map, the grade finder, the saving calculator and the onboarding checklist are general information prepared from published sources and from figures the client enters itself. They may be incomplete, delayed or out of date.
They are not an offer, a quotation, a recommendation or technical, legal, insurance or commercial advice, and ACO Energies gives no warranty, express or implied, as to their accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose.
The client remains solely responsible for its own decisions, including grade selection, sulphur compliance, routing, timing, security and insurance, and should confirm them with its technical manager, insurers and advisers.
ACO Energies is remunerated by the supplier under a separate agreement. It charges the client nothing and adds nothing to the supplier's price.
ACO Energies never requests, receives or holds payment for fuel. All payments are made by the contracting party directly to the supplier, against the supplier's invoice and to the supplier's bank account.
Any request to pay for fuel to ACO Energies, or to an account other than the supplier's, is not genuine and should be reported to the Marine Bunkering Desk at once. ACO Energies is not liable for any payment made in response to such a request.
ACO Energies does not tolerate bribery or corruption in any form. Neither ACO Energies nor the client will offer, promise, give, request or accept any bribe, kickback, facilitation payment or other improper advantage, directly or through a third party, to or from any person in the public or the private sector, in connection with an enquiry or a supply.
Each party will comply with all anti bribery and anti corruption laws that apply to it, including, where they apply, the United Kingdom Bribery Act 2010 and the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Gifts and hospitality are acceptable only where they are modest, transparent and lawful, and create no obligation. No part of the remuneration of ACO Energies is paid to, or shared with, any employee, officer or representative of the client or of any public body.
The client confirms that neither the contracting party, nor its owners or controllers, nor the vessel, its registered owner, operator or manager, is the target of sanctions or restrictive measures of the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States, or of any other sanctions that apply to the supply.
The client confirms that the fuel is not intended for the benefit of a sanctioned party or for a voyage or trade that applicable sanctions prohibit.
ACO Energies screens every counterparty and vessel before nomination. It may suspend or withdraw from an enquiry at any time, without liability, where it or the supplier identifies a sanctions concern. The client will notify ACO Energies at once of any change that affects these confirmations.
The client confirms that the funds used to pay for fuel are of lawful origin and that payment will be made from a bank account held in the name of the contracting party.
ACO Energies does not handle cash and takes no part in the movement of funds between the client and the supplier.
The client will provide on request the information reasonably needed to identify the contracting party, its beneficial owners and the source of its funds. ACO Energies and the supplier may make any report that the law requires of them.
ACO Energies discloses that it is remunerated by the supplier and by nobody else in respect of a supply.
ACO Energies deals only with the party that controls the bunker decision, or with one disclosed introducer acting for that party. It does not pass enquiries into a chain of resellers.
Any conflict of interest that arises on an account is disclosed to the parties affected.
ACO Energies treats fleet data, trading patterns, volumes, prices and onboarding documents as confidential. It discloses them only to the physical supplier and to the supplier's compliance and credit functions for the purpose of the enquiry, or where the law requires.
The client keeps confidential the identity of the supplier, the terms offered and all commercial information received through ACO Energies.
Personal data contained in enquiries and onboarding documents is used only for handling the enquiry and for counterparty due diligence, is handled in accordance with the data protection law that applies, and is kept no longer than that purpose requires.
For twelve months from the date of an introduction, the client will not, directly or through another broker or trader, take steps intended to remove ACO Energies from an account it has introduced or to deprive it of its remuneration on that account.
This clause does not apply where the client can show that it held an active account with the supplier before the introduction.
ACO Energies is not liable for: the acts, omissions, performance, non performance or solvency of the supplier or any other third party; the quality, quantity, specification or timing of any delivery; availability at any port; movements in price; delay, deviation, off hire, demurrage or port costs; security incidents, piracy, hostilities, weather, port or canal closures, or government or sanctions action; or any loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the client.
To the fullest extent the law permits, the total aggregate liability of ACO Energies arising from or in connection with this website, an enquiry, an introduction or these terms, whether in contract or otherwise, is limited to the remuneration ACO Energies has actually received from the supplier on the stem concerned.
ACO Energies is in no case liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, charter or opportunity, or for any indirect, special or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable law, including liability for fraud or gross fault.
The client shall indemnify ACO Energies, its directors and officers against all claims, losses, damages, fines, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from: any breach of these terms by the client; any inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or forged information or document supplied by the client; any breach by the client of sanctions, anti bribery or anti money laundering laws; and any dispute between the client and the supplier or any third party concerning a supply.
ACO Energies is not liable for any failure or delay in performing any of its undertakings caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including war, hostilities, terrorism, piracy, attacks on shipping, the closure or restriction of any canal, strait or port, sanctions or other government action, strikes, epidemics, severe weather, and failures of communication or information systems.
These General Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Cairo, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Disputes concerning the fuel or its delivery are between the contracting party and the supplier and are resolved under the supplier's terms of sale.
Acceptance of these terms is recorded in the enquiry, together with its reference, date and time, and that record is evidence of acceptance. The edition of these terms in force on the date of an enquiry applies to that enquiry.
Where these terms and the supplier's terms of sale both apply, the supplier's terms govern the supply and these terms govern the relationship with ACO Energies.
If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply, and the provision concerned applies to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship. Where these terms are translated, the English text prevails.
The code of business conduct and the health, safety and environment policy of ACO Energies are available to counterparties on request.
Four short steps. Choose a single stem or a term arrangement, then send the enquiry on WhatsApp or copy it into an email.
Privacy: the details you send are used only to handle your enquiry and onboarding. They are shared only with the physical supplier's compliance and credit functions, are kept no longer than needed, and are never sold or passed to anyone else. Enquiries sent by email pass through a form delivery service.
